    The authors genotyped a polymorphism in the Bmp6 gene in the three interspecific crosses [(CHMU/Le - + ch/MOLF/Ei) x (CHMU/Le - + ch/MOLF/Ei), (CHMU/Le - + ch/CAST/Ei) x (CHMU/Le - + ch/CAST/Ei) and (CHMU/Le - + ch/MOLF/Ei) x (CHMU/Le - + ch/CAST/Ei)]. Haplotype analysis placed Bmp6 between D13Mit117 and D13Mit88. Combining genotype results from all the interspecific crosses taken together suggested the following marker order on mouse Chromosome 13: centromere - D13Mit206 - Mf1 - D13Mit294 - D13Mit307 - D13Mit265 - D13Mit275 - D13Mit117 - mu - Bmp6 - D13Mit87 - D13Mit88.
