    The authors used X-ray irradiated (C57BL-Lia x CBA/H)F1 mice as a model of murine myeloid leukemia. A majority of these mice contain Chromosome 2 aberrations. Since the breakpoints of the deletions are different, the authors propose the presence of tumorsuppresor genes in the deleted region rather than breakpoint induced lesions as the cause of the leukemic phenotype. Microsatellite mapping of the tumors was used to construct a physical map of the Tsp9 region. This region was narrowed to approximately a 1.0 cM interval between D2Mit126 and D2Mit185. The order of loci in this region of mouse Chromosome 2 is: D2Mit332 - D2Mit94 - D2Mit75 - D2Mit248 - D2Mit436 - Ssrp1 - D2Mit160 - D2Mit66 - Catns - D2Mit126 - D2Mit272 - Cugbp1 - Rapsn - (Sfpi1 - F2)- D2Mit43 - D2Mit385 - D2Mit42 - Tsp9 - D2Mit333 - D2Mit130 - D2Mit249 - D2Mit350 - D2Mit351 - D2Mit386 - D2Mit129 - D2Mit387 - D2Mit44 - D2Mit185 - D2Mit13 - D2Mit252 - D2Mit100 - D2Mit214 - D2Mit128.
