Notes
  • Experiment
Analysis of 633 (SJL/J x B10.S/DvTe)F2 mice with induced experimental allergic encephalomyelitis (EAE) indicated the presence of a quantitative locus (QTL) involved with the relapsing/remitting (R/R) form of the disorder. Eae12 showed maximum linkage to D7Mit227 at approximatley 16 cM on mouse Chromosome 7. The authors note that this is proximal to another QTL, Eae4 placed at 26 - 50 cM. Stratification of the data by sex indicated that the effect of Eae12 on susceptibility was greater in females than in males.
