  The authors isolated BAC clones using Tedp1 and Tedp2 cDNA clones. Southern hybridization, restriction mapping, long distance PCR analysis and sequencing determined that Tedp1 and Tedp2 loci lie in tandem and are separated by 7kb of intergenic sequence.
