Notes
  • Experiment
Mean survival time (MST) for mice exposed to ozone was analyzed in inbred strains of mice, The most variation was observed between strains A/J (A) and C57BL/6J (B) with resistance inherited as a dominant trait. Analysis of MST in AXB and BXA recombinant inbred strains (RI) showed a contimuum suggesting that more then one gene was involved in susceptibility. QTL analysis of 136 A x (AxB)F1 offspring identified a susceptibility locus on mouse Chromosome 13 2 cMs distal of D13Mit59. This susceptibility marker was identified as Aliq2.
