    Southern blotting and restriction analysis of the BAC2 clone revealed the presence of the Sftpa, Mbl1 and Sftpd genes. The order and distance of the genes on mouse Chromosome 14 were: 5' - Sftpa - 3' - 15kb - 5' - Mbl1 - 3' - 12kb - 3' - Sftpd - 5'.
