  The authors identified overlapping genomic clones containing Krt2-6a and Krt2-6b sequences. Restriction mappping and sequence analysis showed the Krt2-6b gene to be 10.5 downstream of the Krt2-6a gene. The genes were aligned in the same orientation on Chromosome 15.
