  C57BL/6J was Southern analyzed using probe XX3-1 which carries a sequence representive of Eif2s3x. Hybridization results indicated the presence of a 3.5kb band that was X linked and this fragment was further interpreted to represent an X-linked retroposon of Eif2s3x identified as Eif2s3x-rs1.
