GeneAlleleAssay TypeDescription
G6pdx enzyme activity
Notes
  • Experiment
A G6PD deficiency in mice was determined to be dependant on a gene on the mouse X chromosome. Two alleles were indicated; a wild type G6pdx a and a low activity allele G6pdx a-mlNeu . The X chromosome location was based to an extent on the fact that the low activity defect (G6pdx a-mlNeu) is expressed in hemizygous males and homozygous females , whereas females heterozygous for G6pdx a-mlNeu) exhibited partial enzyme activity.
