Cms2 resistance/susceptibility
Tnfrsf1a
Notes
  • Experiment
DBA/2J mice are more resistant to Coccidioides immitis infection than are C57BL/6J mice allowing for the genetic mapping of genes that determine resistance. The BXD RI line was informative to map genes to mouse Chromosomes 4 and 6. One gene was designated as Cms1 and showed a significant association with mouse Chromosome 4 marker Lv, the other gene Cms2 was associated with Tnfrsf1a on mouse Chromosome 6. Moreover (DBA/2J x C57BL/6J) F1 x C57BL/6J backcross progeny that carried the DBA/2J allele at either Tnfrsf1a or Alad exhibited a higher resistant phenotype than mice that carried the C57BL/6J allele
