Notes
  • Experiment
The difference in the response to LPS (lipopolysaccharide) exhibited between C57BL/6J and A/J mice allowed for the mapping of QTls in AXB/BXA Recombinant Inbred strains. Four provisional modifers of the LPS response were mapped to mouse Chromosomes 1, 7, 11, and 13. Mol1 was localized to a 5 cM region flanked by markers D7Mit267 and D7Mit25. Moreover congenic strain B6.C-H24cGpia/By HW24) expresed the Mol1 phenotype within a donor region that included markers D7Mit77, H24, and D7Mit310.
