  The authors mapped the Lpin1^fld locus more precisely on a F2 intercross between female Lpin1^fld/^fld and male CAST/Ei mice. A total of 353 Lpin1^fld>/,fld intercross progeny were genotyped for markers on proximal Chromosome 12. Of these, 35 mice showed recombination between markers in the interval between D12Mit169 and D12Mit59. The order of markers near the Lpin1^fld locus on mouse Chromosome 12 was: D12Mit169 - 1.56 +/- 0.47 cM - D12Mit170 - 0.14 +/- 0.14 cM - Lpin1^fld - 0.28 +/- 0.20 cM - D12Mit184 - 0.14 +/- 0.14 cM - D12Mit12 - 0.14 +/- 0.14 cM - D12Mit105 - 0.14 +/- 0.14 cM - D12Mit83 2.69 +/- 0.61 cM - D12Mit59.
