Notes
  • Experiment
The authors mapped the aly locus between D11Mit331 and CA472-2 on mouse Chromosome 11 by analysis of polymorphic markers in recombinant mice generated by crossing aly/aly and MSM mice. Analysis of a 264kb physical map of the region resulted in the identification of the Map3k14 gene. Subsequent analysis and transgene complementation studies revealed that a point mutation in the Map3k14 gene was responsible for the aly phenotype.
