    Based on a contig of BAC clones covering a 1 Mb imprinting cluster region, the authors sequenced a region on mouse Chromosome 7 that is homologous with the Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome (BWS) region on human Chromosome 11p15.5. A combination of homology searches and sequence analysis tools were used to order and orient genes in this region. The order was: centromere - 5' - Mrpl23 - 3' - Nctc1 - 3' - H19 - 5' - 3' - Igf2 - 5' - 5' - Igf2as - 3' - 3' - Ins2 - 5' - Th - 3' - Ascl2 - 5' - 5' - Tspan32 - 3' - 5' - Cd81 - 3' - 5' - Tssc4 - 3' - 3' - Trpm5 - 5' - 5' - Kcnq1 - 3' - Kcnq1ot1 - 5' - Kcnq1 - 3' - 3' - Cdkn1c - 5' - 5' - Tssc3 - 3' - Slc22a1l - 5' - 3' - Nap1l4 - 5' - 3' - Cars - 5' - 3' - Tnfrsf1al1 - 5' - 3' - Tnfrsf1al2 - 5' - 3' - Osbp2 - 5'.
