  In genetic crosses involving DBA/2J and BALB/cJ mice with Bent tail F1 mice resulted in the mapping of the Bent tail phenotype within a 1.1 cM region defined proximatly by DXMit159 and distally by DXMit143. This Bent tail region includes the Zic3 marker.
