    The authors selected several genes as candidates for the rct phenotype that had been mapped between D4Mit74 and D4Mit122 on chromosome 4. These genes were mapped distal to D4Mit122 excluding them as candidates. The order of genes was : D4Mit122 - Mycl1 -Inpp5b - Col8a2 - Gjb5 - Gjb4 - Gja4 - Nfyc.
