  The authors used a combination of physical mapping methods to cluster the Tff1, Tff2 and Tff3 genes to a 40kb region. The Tff3 gene had previously been mapped to Chromosome 17. The order and orientation of the genes were determined to be: 5' - Tff1 - 3' - 17kb - 5'- Tff2 - 3' - 12kb - 5'- Tff3 - 3'.
