• Experiment
  The authors used FISH on metaphase chromosomes, mechanically stretched chromosomes and extended DNA fibers to physically map five collagen genes on chromosome 10. The order and orientation of the genes were determined to be: centromere - Col10a1 - 3'- Col13a1 - 5' - 3'- Col6a2 - 5' - 90kb - 3'- Col6a1 - 5' - ( ~ 350kb) - 3'- Col18a1 - 5' - telomere.
