Notes
  • Experiment
Two audiogenic seizure prone congenic strains were informative in mapping Ahr and asp1 to a 1.5 cM region of mouse Chromosome 12 flanked by proximal marker D12Mit153 and distal marker D12Mit112. Congenic strains D2N.B6N-Anrb and D2N.B6N-asp1b were derived from inbreds C57BL/6N and DBA/2N whereas DBA/2N is the audiogenic seizure prone partner. Importantly it was noted that asp1 and Ahr are nonallelic and therefore separate loci.
