  The authors identified a 85 kb P1 clone and detected the presence of the Fut1, Fut2 and Fut10 genes in this segment. The orientation and distance of the markers on this segment was determined to be: 5'- Fut1 - 3' - 35kb - 3'- Fut2 - 5' - 20kb - 3'- Fut10- 5'. The Fut1 and Fut2 genes had previously been mapped to Chromosome 7. This order and distance was found to be conserved for the human and rabbit orthologs as well.
