    The authors genotyped 902 pmn/pmn F2 progeny of four intercrosses to narrow the pmn genetic interval to a 0.30 cM region between the 33O23-F/322E16/Gng4 and D13Uth3/7O14-R/378J7-F/266O18-R/144K13-F msrker clusters. A physical map of this region was constructed using a dense BAC contig covering approximately 850kb around the pmn locus and encompassing the synteny breakpoint between mouse Chromosome 13 and human Chromosome 1q and 7p. The size of the pmn non-recombinant interval was estimated to be 620kb. The order of markers was determined to be centromere - 332O23-F - Gng4 - 322E16-F - 194O7-F - Tbce - 299A21-F - 158L23-F - D13Uth2 - 332O23-R - 44K14-R - Ggps1 - 322E16-R - Arid4b - 299A21-R - AV273951 - 399G8-F - 174L15-R - 269J1-F - 5A19-F - 293H2-R - 378J7-F - 399G8-R - 7O14-F - 203A16-F - 269J1-R - D13Uth3 - 266O18-R - 7O14-R - 144K13-F - 5A19-R - 378J7-R - telomere. 203A16-R also mapped with mouse 13.
