Notes
  • Experiment
Im1 (immunoregulatory), a QTL affecting antibody response, was mapped from cM range 41 to 71 range on mouse chromosome 8 (P=5.1 x 10-4 at D8Mit35). Animals from a high (H) antibody responder line x low (L) antibody responder line F2 intercross were successively backcrossed to the L line to localize the QTL.Im3 a suggestive QTL (P = 1.1 x 10-2) was also identified on mouse Chromosome 8 at approximately 30 cM - 33.5 cM associated with D8Mit9. Im appears to have a greater effect in later antibody response(14 days v 5 days post-innoculation) as well as a greater effect in female animals.
