  The authors identified a mouse BAC containing the Il22 gene. Subcloning and restriction analysis identified the presence of the Il22 and Iltifb genes on this mouse BAC. The two genes shared 98% nucleotide identity but the Iltifb gene has a 658 nucleotidedeletion in the first non-coding exon.
