  Progeny from the (NFS/N x M. spretus))F1 x M.spretus or C58/J backcross were used to map Gja12 to mouse Chromosome 11. The order of loci is as follows: Canx - Mgat1 - 3.0 +/- 1.7 - cM Gm2a - Hspa4 - Irf1 - 2.8 +/- 1.9 cM - Gja12 - Aldh3a1 - Aldh3a2 - 8.7+/- 3.4 cM - Shbg - Myhs.
