Notes
  • Experiment
The authors used comparative sequence analysis to identify a GPCR gene in the Sac region. This gene was named Tas1r3 and was located 20kb from D18346. Expression of the Tas1r3 gene was restricted to a subset of taste receptor cells. Additionally, a polymorphism was identified in Tas1r3 that differentiated all taster strains from non-taster strains.
