    Previous mapping studies presented in J:53815 had localized the gl candidate region to a locus on Chromosome 10 between the Fyn and D10Mit148 markers. The distance between the markers was determined to be Fyn - 1.8 cM - D10Mit184, D10Mit254, D10Mit255, D10Mit108, D10Mit109, D10Mit193 - 0.4 +/- 0.2 cM - D10Mit215, D10Mit54, Cd24a, D10Mit55 - 1.0 +/- 0.3 cM - D10Mit148. In the current study, the authors constructed a physical map of the region using an YAC contig spanning 8.5 Mb. Using this physical map, the authors were able to localize ESTs, STS markers and genes to the region. The order of markers within the gl region was determined to be: Fyn - Amd1 - Wasf1 - Gpr6 - D10Mit109 - Cd164 - Pa26 - D10Mit193 - Foxo3 - D10Mit255 - D10Mit254 - D10Mit184 - Snx3- Nr2e1 - D10Mit108 - Sec63 - Cd24a - D10Mit54 - D10Mit215 - D10Mit55 - Aim1 - D10Mit38 - Apg5l - Prdm1 - D10Mit148 - D10Mit216 - C87926 - Bves - D10Mit285 - D10Mit194 - D10Mit148.
