  The authors constructed a BAC contig around the Tmevp3 locus on Chromosome 10 by screening a CITB mouse BAC library. The order of markers was determined to be: centromere - Ifng - D10Mit74 - D10Mit234 - D10Mit14 - telomere. Using comparative sequence analysis with human genomic sequence from Chromosome 12 and homologies with expressed sequence tags, a locus termed Tmevpg1 was identified in a 173kb region around the mouse BAC 13C18. The locus appeared to produce a non-protein coding mRNA.
