Notes
  • Experiment
Linkage analysis was performed on a population of (A/WySnJ x CAST/Ei)F2 animals to detect loci involved in peripheral B-lymphocyte homeostasis. Parental strain A/WySnJ exhibits rapid apoptosis of peripheral B-lyphocytes whereas CAST/Ei does not. A significant locus named Bcmd (B-cell maturation defect) mapped to mouse Chromosome 15 from 30 cM - 53 cM with a LOD score >17. A possible candidate gene for Tnfrsf13c is Csf2rb2. Regions of synteny to human chromosomes for Tnfrsf13c are human Chromosome 8q21, 8q24, 22q12, and 22q13.
