Notes
  • Experiment
26 BXD (B=C57BL/6J; D=DBA/2J) recombinant inbred (RI) strains were analyzed for QTLs linked to PCP- and amphetamine-induced activation of locomotor activity. Parental strain C57BL/6J exhibits greater locomotor behavior following PCP administration compared to DBA/2J. Loci affecting PCP induced locomotor activity (Pcpila) mapped to 106.3 cM on mouse Chromosome 1 (Pcpila1), 2 cM on mouse Chromosome 14 (Pcpila2), and 38.2 cM on mouse Chromosome 15 (Pcpila3). C57BL/6J-derived alleles confer increased PCP induced locomotor activity at all mapped loci.
