Notes
  • Experiment
The authors screened a mouse genomic library and isolated mouse BAC clones around the OVE597 transgene integration site. Using PCR, PFGE, restriction mapping and Southern analysis they were able to identify the order of markers in the region to be : 5'- Arx-3' - 10 kb - 3'- Pola1 - 5' - DXCrc140 - DXCrc57. Further, the integration of the transgene caused a large duplication and the transgene was positioned between the two copies of the duplicated region. The authors did not identify the disruption of anyX-linked gene in the region but found an intact additional copy of the Arx gene in the region. The transgene insertion site also incorporated genetic material from mouse Chromosome 6.
