Notes
  • Experiment
A genetic cross was informative to fine map the Mfrprd6 region of mouse Chromosome 9. A Total of 657 F2 progeny using a (B6.C3Ga-rd6/rd6xCAST) F1 intercross were typed for flanking markers D9Mit329 and D9Mit23 Based on this cross the estimated genetic size for the chromosome 9 region containing Mfrprd6 was 0.46 +/- 0.19 cM (6 recombinants/1314 meiosis). In additon overlapping clones were used to refine the area to a distance of 0.15 +/- 11 cM as defined by flanking markers 821D20S and ptd009. This region contained mouse Mfrp which is considered a candidate for rd6.
