Hook1 PCR
Notes
  • Experiment
The authors used RT-PCR to conduct an expression analysis to determine if a mutation in the Hook1 gene was responsible for azh phenotype. This analysis and subsequent sequencing of the region showed that a 2.021 knb deletion spanning exons 10 and 11 of the Hook1 gene was responsible for the azh phenotype. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of functional Hook1 protein in azh/azh mice.
