    The authors analyzed the sequence of the BAC clones RP23-463H24 and RP23-393J8 and identified the presence of several alcohol dehydrogenases in a complex cluster on Chromosome 3. The order and transcriptional orientation of the genes in the region were determined to be: 5'- Adh7 - 3' - 5'- Adh1-3' - 5'- Adh6a - 3' - 5'- Adh6b - 3' - 5'- Adh6-ps1 - 3' - 5'- Adh2 - 3' - 5'- Adh5 - 3'.
