Notes
  • Experiment
The hsh recesive mutation arose in a (C3H/HeH x 101/H)F1 background. The authors utilized polymorphisms between C3H/HeH or 101/H with C57BL/6J, BALB/cJ or CAST/Ei to establish backcrosses to map the hsh mutation within mouse Chromosome 3. The hsh mutation could be found within a region bounded proximally by D3Mit187 and distally by D3Mit232. This region could be further refined to a 1.2 cM region containing the marker S100a4.
