Notes
  • Experiment
22 SMXA (SM/J x A/J) recombinant inbred (RI) strains were analyzed for loci associated with susceptibility to infection with Angiostrongylus costaricensis. Parental strain A/J is resistant whereas parental strain SM/J is susceptible. 789 polymorphic lociwere screened.

Acsns2 mapped to 33 cM on mouse Chromosome 13 with P=0.0096 at D13Rik79 and D13Rik80.

Acsns3 mapped to 18.4 cM on mouse Chromosome 17 with P=0.0088 between D17Mit28 and D17Rik76.

Other yet unnamed loci associated with susceptibility to infection with Angiostrongylus costaricensis include D6Rik86 and D6Rik87 (P<0.0001), and D10Rik66 - D10Mit12 (P=0.0058).
