    20 BXD (B=C57BL/6J, D=DBA/2J) recombinant inbred strains were used to map loci associated with adenoviral LacZ expression, cytotoxic T-cell response, and cytokine production in response to an adenoviral vector. A panel of 620 polymorphic markers was usedin the genome scan. Several loci reaching suggestive significance were identified and await confirmation.

    Suggestive linkages to LacZ expression at day 7 after adenoviral administration mapped to 18 cM on mouse Chromosome 13 (LRS=10.3 at D13Mit18) and to 33.5 cM on mouse Chromosome 17 (LRS=13.5 at D17Mit274). DBA/2J-derived alleles confer increased LacZ expression at these loci.

    Suggestive linkages to LacZ expression at days 21 and 30 after adenoviral administration mapped to 42.8 cM on mouse Chromosome 15 (LRS=11.5 at D15Mit29) and to 33 cM on mouse Chromosome 19 (LRS=14.1 at D19Mit13). C57BL/6J-derived alleles confer increased LacZ expression at D15Mit29 and DBA/2J-derived alleles confer increased LacZ expression at D19Mit13.

    Suggestive linkages tocytotoxic T-cell response mapped to 41 cM on mouse Chromosome 7 (LRS=10.3 at D7Mit350), 61.7 cM on mouse Chromosome 15 (LRS=11.6 at D15Mit35), and to 27.8 cM on mouse Chromosome X (LRS=11.4 at DXMit25). C57BL/6J-derived alleles confer increased cytotoxicT-cell response at all 3 loci.

    Suggestive linkages to IFN-gamma production mapped to 64 cM (LRS=10.2 at D11Mit360) on mouse Chromosome 11 and to 22 cM (LRS=10.2 at D18Mit17), 27 cM (LRS=10.7 at D18Mit53), and 32 cM (LRS=10.2 at D18Mit124) on mouse Chromosome 18. Suggestive linkages to TNF-alpha and IL-6 production mapped to 52 cM (LRS=12.2 at D8Mit113) and 73 cM (LRS=11.7 at D8Mit156) on mouse Chromosome 8 and to 42 cM (LRS=12.3 at Tcf12) on mouse Chromosome 9. Suggestive linkage to IL-6 production onlymapped to 41.5 cM (LRS=11.1 at D6Mit67) on mouse Chromosome 6. C57BL/6J-derived alleles confer increased cytokine production at all loci.
