• Experiment
  The authors used two overlapping YAC clones to identify the region of mouse Chromosome 6 that was deleted in Del(6)Snca1Slab mice in a C57BL/6JOlaHsd background. The following markers were initially included within the 350 kb deleted region, D6Slab5 , D6Slab6 and D6Mit357. Further analysis show D6slab5 and D6Slab6 as flanking the deletion. The proximal flank of the deletion included the following markers in order:D6Mit20 - 32.MMHAP356FLC5.seq - D6Slab1 - D6Slab2 - D6Slab3 - D6Slab4 - D6Slab11 - D6Slab12 - D6Slab13 - D6Slab5. The distal boundary was defined as ( from the breakpoint) D6Slab6 - D6Slab14 - D6Slab15 - D6Slab16 - D6Slab7 - D6Slab8 - D6Slab9 - D6Slab10. The deletion junction was indicted as being represented by marker D6Slab17. Importantly The Del(6)Snca1Slab deletion includes six exons of Snca and 8 exons of Mmr1.
