Notes
  • Experiment
A mutant (mei8) induced in v6.4 ES cells from mouse hybrid strain (C57BL/6J x 129S4/Jae) was genetically mapped to mouse Chromosome 14. Male chimeric mice transmitting mei8 were outcrossed to CAST/Ei females, the resulting F1 progeny were intercrossed andbackcrossed. Recombination mapping showed that mei8 was located in a genetic region between D14Mit234 and D14Mit258 (21 recombinants per 458 meioses analyzed). One recombination event (out of 458 meioses analyzed) further refined the genetic interval to a region between D14Mit25 and D14Mit258. This region included Rec8L1.
