• Experiment
  A 3 generational intercross involving CAST/Ei and B6C3Fe-a/a was informative in mapping the mutant hyrt allele to mouse Chromosaome 9. From a total of 1610 F2 progeny hyrt mapped between D9mit121 and D9Mit351. Further analysis refined this regions to include Cck and D9mit351. The locus mutated by hyrt was named Trak1.
