Notes
  • Experiment
BALB/cAn has inefficient repair phenotype of X-irradiation chromatin damage (Rep1b Rep2b) whereas DBA/2N has efficient repair (Rep1a Rep2a). These genes were mapped to chromosomes 1 and 4 respectively by congenic strains C.D2-Idh1b Pepcb (also carryingDBA/2N alleles of Cryg-1 and Bcl2), C.D2-Pepcb (also carryng DBA/2N allele of Bcl2) and C.D2-Fv-1n (also carrying DBA/2N allele of Pnd) that displayed the DBA/2N efficient repair phenotype. Strains C.D2-DAG(Ly-6) and C.D2-Qa-2+ were BALB/cAn type in their repair phenotype.
