  Somatic cell hybrids used were 14 lines from hamster 380-6 cells and Abruzzi mouse spleen cells, 11 lines from hamster 380-6 cells and Cremona mouse spleen cells, and 10 lines from hamster 380-6 cells and ICR mouse peritoneal macrophages. Abruzzi hybrid III-23 showed discordance for B2m and Ak-1. Karyotyping revealed a chromosome rearrangement distal to band 2D implying that B2m maps to distal chromosome 2.
