• Experiment
  Three series of somatic cell hybrids were developed. Series I was generated with mouse fibroblasts carrying the Searle's T(X;16)16H translocation and V70/380-6 Chinese hamster lung fibroblasts deficient in HPRT. The EAS, EBS, and EZS series were constructed by fusing spleen cells from AKR, BALB/c and NZB mice respectively to Chinese hamster cell line E36. The 2W and 6W series were constructed from fusion of embryonic fibroblasts cells of BALB.Mo to Chinese hamster cell line Wg3-h-O. DNA digested with HindIII or EcoRI was Southern blotted and hybridized with mouse cDNA probe for the Ii gene.
