  The authors did an extensive study of the Igh locus and found it to span 3.3 Mb on mouse chromosome 12, from the 3' enhancer at position 108.5 Mb to the first non-V gene at 111.85 Mb (Ensembl). The Authors show an assembled 2.75 Mb of the Igh locus, containing the complete mouse Igh V region (2.5 Mb) and upstream flanking sequence. The work was done using overlapping BACs on v34 of the assembly. All the loci are shown in figures in the text.
