  Chinese hamster x mouse somatic cell hybrids were analyzed using Southern blots and the following loci were assigned to mouse Chromosome 6: Met, Cpa and Prss1 using probes MetD, a carboxypeptitase A cDNA and a trypsin cDNA, respectively. Col1a2 was incorrectly reported as being on Chromosome 16 using cDNA probe Hf-32 (Col1a2 is also on Chromosome 6).
