  A transgenic mouse line (P432) was produced that carried approximately 400 copies of plasmid pFR400 inserted at a single site. This plasmid contains mutant dihydrofolate reductase cDNA and the SV40 early promoter. In 156 repulsion intercross offspring ofthe P432 line, no recombinants were observed between the transgene and Chromosome 13 gene Nna1. An additional 10 backcross progeny also produced no crossover events suggesting that the insertional mutation (designated Nna1^{pcd-Tg(Dhfr)1Jwg} is allelic to Nna1.
