  Somatic cell hybrids from fusion of C57BL/6J spleen cells and SV40 transformed human CRL 1223 cells and microcell hybrids from fusion of mouse embryo fibroblast microcells and human SV40 transformed CRL 1223 cells or HeLa cells were analyzed. The mouse chromosome complement was determined by karyotype and isozyme analyses. The two discordant clones for Chromsome 16 have 26 and 21% retention of the chromsome which is the limit for Ifrc detection and are probably false negatives.
