    The authors show evidence using +/sr x cir/cir crosses that cir and sr are allelic. Both cir and sr are contained within a genomic deletion that includes 1700112C13Rik, Tsp50, Tmie and Als2cl. Although allelic cir and sr are within different but overlapping deletions. sr deletes 1700112C13Rik, Tsp50 and Tmie, whereas cir deletes Tmie and Als2cl. The cir deletion was estimated as approximately 40 kb.
