  Probe 11B2, derived from mouse Chromosome T(X;7)5Rl, hybridized on Southern blots to an 11 kb BamHI M. spretus fragment, an 18 kb M. musculus fragment and was absent in albino (c) deletion Fp1. Utilizing M. spretus and M. musculus crosses the locus (D7Or1), defined by 11B2, maps in the interval between the distal breakpoint of the c locus deletions c^Ai1 and c^Fp1. Further analysis of c locus reveals D7Or1 to be in the distal region of the c deletion complex, in the area of sh1.
