  DNA from 19 Chinese hamster x mouse somatic cell hybrids that were analyzed for Mlvi2 were also probed with human c-myc and c-sis probes. Of the 19 hybrids 18 were concordant for Mlvi-2, Myc and Pdgfb. Hybrid HM25 did not contain Mlvi-2 sequences or a karyotypically identifiable Chromosome 15, but Myc and Pdgfb sequences were retained. This finding indicates that the location of Mlvi2 is proximal to both Pdgfb and Myc on Chromosome 15.
