  The Megf8 mutation was mapped between D7Mit192 and D7Mit266 using a founder mutant intercrossed with C3H and then intercrossed with consomic strain C57BL/6J - Chr7A/
  J/Na. The distal end of the locus was identified in rs13460395 at bp 28028384 (v37.1).The mutation was indicated as bp mismatch in position 26113522 (v37.1 of the mouse assembly) in the Megf8 locus.
